page total if it fills 100,000 · the drawn line takes it all
How the book works
- The line. A deal is 10,000 $DEALBOOK. It fills the next empty line on the open page. Write as many as you like; each deal is its own line.
- The page. Ten lines to a page. The tenth deal closes the page and opens the next one in the same block.
- The draw. A closed page is drawn from the hash of a block three blocks later, which did not exist when the page closed. Nobody picks, the house included.
- The take. The drawn line takes the whole page: its own 10,000 back plus the 90,000 the other nine lines paid in. No cut.
- Stale pages. A page that sits a full day after its first line without filling can be closed by anyone; every line gets its 10,000 back.
worked page
Page 4 fills: ten deals at 10,000, a 100,000 page. Three wallets wrote lines 1–3, line 7 went to a wallet that wrote just one.
The draw block's hash lands on line 7. Line 7 takes 100,000: its own 10,000 back plus 90,000 from the other nine. Page 5 is already open.
Write 3 lines on a page and you hold a 3 in 10 shot at 100,000 for 30,000.
